Here are some photos from the Good Friday Walk of Witness. Many of us, from a wide range of churches, and those not belonging to a church, met at the Methodist Church, and we then walked down Lavant Street and Rams Walk, before entering the Square. Because of the rainy weather the service took place in St Peter’s Church. On the way we stopped to hear a number of scriptures and to ponder further the events and meaning of Good Friday.

We were led by Fr Peter Hollins (Chair of PACT), and the powerful address was given by Rev Josh Thomas (URC). We were led in worship by the Salvation Army. Afterwards there was a wonderful time of fellowship, with plenty of hot cross buns being eaten!

Thank you to everyone involved in running and hosting the event, to everyone who attended and to all those who heard God’s word being spoken so clearly. May the joy of Easter be yours.
