We are sorry to announce the death  of Fr Cyril Murtagh.  He passed away in the Royal Surrey Hospital on 18th August.  He was Parish Priest of St Laurence from 1972 – 2001.  He then moved to Liphook Parish where he served as Parish Priest until well in his 90s.  He retired in 2019 and went to live in a flat in Hook.  He spent his last few months in a care home in Liss.

There is a full tribute in the The Petersfield Post (26/08/2021) – thanks to Ann Saunders.
