The real meaning of Christmas

What an amazing time of year it is, everyone is looking forward to meeting up with friends and family. Sharing presents, meals, and time together. And having a bit of time off work. I do agree it’s all lovely, but for me it’s a time of spiritual reflection, it’s a celebration of God’s love for us and the world through the birth of Jesus Christ, God’s only son. His birth told by prophecies hundreds of years before in the Old Testament, Jesus was born to pay the price for our sin. And to enable us to be no longer separated from God.

Jesus came into the world as an infant to save us all. An innocent child, not born into money, status, or power. But to an unmarried young woman, who ran from trouble and persecution and ended up in Egypt a refugee poor and homeless.

And yet he was the King of King who died for you and me in the worst way for LOVE and for us to have eternal life after this life on earth. A miracle happened over 2000 years age for us. I hope you know God’s love. So, have a wonderful Christmas, but please give a thought for this season and its true meaning. May you know peace and love in your lifetime and pass it on to all you meet.

“Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God, and saying, ‘Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favour rests.

Happy Birthday Jesus.
