What’s Fairtrade? Fairtrade is about better prices, decent working conditions, local sustainability, and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers in the developing world.
The Petersfield Fairtrade Group is a small group of local residents who seek to promote Fairtrade and raise awareness of its importance by holding stalls selling Fairtrade products and organising events, particularly during Fairtrade Fortnight. Past events have included quizzes, competitions, such as a Fairtrade Bake Off, and an Art Trail. We would be very happy to hear from anyone interested in joining us.
Petersfield was awarded Fairtrade Town status in 2008 in recognition of the town’s commitment to supporting Fairtrade.
