Annual Reports for 2019

Christian Aid

Once again, the year’s fundraising began with the Simple Lunch, which was held on February 9th at the Petersfield United Reformed Church. Around 60 people ate a lunch of home-made soup, bread and cheese. The atmosphere was great, with everyone enjoying lively fellowship together. Along with the takings from a sales table, £ 553.75 was raised.

An additional Disaster Emergency Fund Collection was made in March, by the United Reformed Church, following Cyclone Idai, for Zimbabwe, Malawi and Mozambique. The congregation raised a sum of £198.75

During Christian Aid week, a collection was made in the town, on Saturday 19th May, which amounted to £623.08, which included two very generous cheques. The annual sponsored ‘Stomp Round the Lake’ on 12th May by the Petersfield United Reformed Junior Church additionally raised £523.

The year ended with a collection over the Christmas period at the Petersfield and Liss United Reformed Church, which raised an amazing £1,384.

*With the exception of the Street Collection, all sums include an estimated Gift Aid amount.
