Frequently Asked Questions
How are the PACT Chair and Vice-Chair selected?
The Vice-Chair is elected at the PACT AGM which is held in January each year. The Vice Chair is appointed to the post of Chair without further election. Each post is normally for one year. Whilst not a constitutional requirement, the positions are held by a member of the clergy and a lay member on a rotational basis.
How is PACT funded?
Each member church pays an annual subscription which is based on the size of their church membership. The funds are sufficient to cover the annual costs of PACT which primarily include - insurance cover for joint public worship events, printing of Christmas and Easter cards which go to homes in the Petersfield area, printing of welcome brochures for newcomers to the area, website administration costs. Any external requests for donations are forwarded to the individual churches.
