Anne Grove writes:

I'm pleased to report that the traditional Froxfield and Privett Good Friday Pilgrimage is taking place again this year.

The circular walk, with stops for readings, prayer and reflection, will start at St Peter's Church, High Cross at 10.30am (tomorrow, of course, Friday 30th). Arrive earlier, from 10.15am, and enjoy a Hot Cross Bun before a punctual departure. By way of safe roads and public footpaths, the pilgrimage will include St Peter-on-the-Green at Froxfield Green. The terrain should be suitable for the whole family (with all-terrain pushchairs as required), including dogs (on leads please). On finishing at High Cross, at about 12.15pm, there will be a final reading, prayer and hymn.

Attached is a map of the route (if you can read upside-down it will be a help) - and if you wish to join in at any stage, for either a short distance or to the end, please do.

Weatherwise it looks as though it's going to be wellies and waterproofs (although Thursday morning has dawned dry and sunny), but it promises also to be enlightening and invigorating!

Just turn up, and enjoy this reflective walk through our beautiful countryside.
