Christian Aid Super Soup Lunch: Saturday 6 February 2016
Seven different home-made soups were on offer at the Methodist Church Hall - plus white and brown bread, cheese, biscuits and tea and coffee.
In addition to the lunch, Sally was selling a range of items, including home emade marmalade.
Patrons were served by a very attentive group of waiters who were very quick and effecients.
Thanks to all those who helped sit up the room (and clear away afterwards!) and for those who cooked the wonderful soups.
This lunch, usually held on the first Saturday in February each year, is now an established tradition which raises the profile of Christian Aid and raises funds for this worth cause.
Christian Aid works to expose the scandal of poverty, to help in practical ways to root it out from the world, and to challenge and change the systems that favour the rich and powerful over the poor and marginalised.
